The public will take notice that the Southport Board of Aldermen will meet on Thursday, July 12,
2018 at 6:00 P.M. at the Southport Community Building, located at 223 E. Bay Street for the
purpose of holding a public hearing on:

Zoning Text Amendment
Article 17 Signs, Section 3 and Section 5

A Unified Development Ordinance Text Amendment that would allow Billboards for properties
that are zoned Highway Commercial, but only on Highway Commercial properties located along
the HWY 133 Long Beach Road Exension or within 400 ft of the Long Beach Road Extension.
Billboards would be required to be spaced 500 ft apart and would have a height limit of 40 feet.
