A voluntary Zoning Map Amendment that would amend the City of Southport’s zoning
map pertaining to the above R-10 properties on 11th Street. Properties would be
rezoned from Single Family Residential to Multi-Family. The total acreage of the
properties to be rezoned is .89 acres.

Article 15: Residential Cluster Development
(ZA-18-0613-01)

A Unified Development Ordinance Text Amendment that would allow 50 foot ROW’s on
public and private streets in Residential Cluster Developments instead of the normal 60
foot ROW’s stated in Article 25: Subdivisions. The smaller ROW would allow more flexibility
in designing the streets and would help preserve the natural character of the site while still
having adequate space for the installation of utilities.

Article 17 Signs, Section 17-4 (B) On Premise Signs
(ZA-18-0608-01)

A Unified Development Ordinance Text Amendment that would allow signs in Highway
Commercial to have a maximum square footage of 150 sf. It would also give Multiple
Tenant Developments zoned highway commercial that are larger than 5 acres the
ability to construct one multi-tenant sign per street frontage.
