Join the NC Maritime Museum at Southport as we welcome maritime artist Tony Alderman on Saturday, February 3, 2018, from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. in the museum classroom. The temporary exhibit, Life on the Lower Cape Fear: Highlights of Brunswick County, is a testament to the strength and beauty of our maritime culture. His stunning watercolors, from the silent stalking egrets to the soft drift of try-nets through the water, Alderman brings Varnamtown and Southport, NC to life. Local seafood and wine will be served and visitors can mingle with the artist. The exhibit is on display from Saturday, February 3rd until Saturday, March 24, 2018. Look for information on a fisheries discussion panel as we discuss living and working along the confluence of the Cape Fear, where brown, green, and blue water share an everlasting bond.
