The Port of Wilmington is growing and so are the possibilities. To offer customers the highest level of efficiency, NC Ports will welcome two neo-Panamax cranes. Along with the Authority’s berth enhancement projects, the new cranes will allow the Port of Wilmington to accommodate two ultra-Panamax vessels side-by-side in a two-berth operation. Approved by the North Carolina General Assembly, this acquisition is part of the Port Authority’s $200 million investment in infrastructure, NC Ports’ customers and the North Carolina economy.

The cranes are currently scheduled to transit up the Cape Fear River on March 29, passing Southport around 8 am. All are welcome to come watch this milestone event.  For up to date information, check this site out,  http://ncports.com/about-the-ports/neo-panamax-cranes/.

The cranes pass the Garrison House.

A person saying they represent the electric company is calling to say if your bill is not paid within a short amount of time, your power will be turned off. If you receive this call, please call the number on your electric bill and speak to a customer service representative.
