Wednesday, February 21, 2018. The meeting will be held at 9:00 a.m. in the
Southport Community Building, 223 E. Bay Street, Southport.

NOTICE OF SPECIAL MEETING
Please take notice that the Board of Trustees (the “Board”) of the Bald Head Island Transportation Authority (the “Authority”) will conduct a special meeting of Board as follows:
Date: Wednesday, February 21, 2018
Time: 9:15 a.m.
Location: Southport Community Center

The special meeting is being called by the Chair of the Board pursuant to Article III, Section 2 and Article V, Section 1 of the Bylaws of the Authority.
The matters to be considered at the special meeting are as follows:

A Resolution providing that the text of Section 1 of Article III of the Bylaws of the Authority, now entitled “Regular Quarterly Meetings,” be deleted in its entirety, and replaced with the following:

Regular Meetings. From time to time, the Board shall establish the time and place for its regular meetings. Such regular meetings shall be held no less frequently than once per quarter.

Brick walkway project is underway

The brick walkway in front of the Fort Johnston Garrison House, heading towards the public bathrooms and the parking area on Davis Street will be rerouted and repaired. Memorial bricks will line the brick walkway. The concrete walkway will continue from the parking area to the bathrooms. Work is being done in partnership with the Public Works Department and the Southport Historical Society.
